Scout CARD FINAL Orange.png
This is gonna sound crazy but hear me out.

TF2 is one of the most successful online games of all time.
Not only that but it has a fantastic cast of iconic characters, each with distinct and developed personalities.
If that wasn't enough, it was free to play!

Scout, Heavy and Engineer would fit perfectly in Smash.

I could see the Scout translating into Smash exceptionally well. He has the most mobility out of any class by far (excluding the Soldier and the Demoman), and most of his weapons seem to add to it. For example, Scout already has two double jumps, but the Atomizer grants him a third, the Force of Nature gives him a fourth, and the Winger gives him better jump height. Then there's the Soda Popper which when the HYPE meter is fully charged, gives Scout the ability to jump up to five times in mid-air, for a total of six jumps. He's also got a variety of projectiles, such as Mad Milk, the Sandman, the Wrap Assassin, and the Flying Guillotine, the last two I don't see making in since they make players bleed on hit. And last but not the least, the two consumables in his list of weapons—the Bonk! Atomic Punch, and the Crit-a-Cola.

The Heavy Weapons Guy I see as a typical heavyweight—low jumps with slow walk and run speed, but hard to knock off the stage. He'll primarily use his melee weapons to be fight, such as the Killing Gloves of Boxing, Fists of Steel, Warrior's Spirit, Eviction Notice, Holiday Punch, and the Gloves of Running Urgently. He's also got 4 consumables—the Sandvich, Dalokohs Bar, Buffalo Steak Sandvich, and the Second Banana. I have no idea what he'd do for his Up-Special, though.

The Engineer I don't see as a fighter, but more of an Assist Trophy—he builds a Level 3 Sentry that attacks nearby enemies, a Dispenser that dispenses health (and in Robin's case, repairs his tomes/Levin Sword), and a teleporter should the player ever fall off the stage.

The Pyro on the other hand, has a weapon that he can use as his Up-Special—the Thermal Thruster. That alone makes me consider his inclusion over the Engineer. The Detonator could also work, but the Thermal Thruster is much more well-suited. I could see him working kind of like Zetterburn from Rivals of Aether—his attacks (in Pyro's case, the Flare Gun/Gas Passer/Flamethrower) sets the opponent on fire, and his Smash Attacks (in Pyro's case, the Axtinguisher) do extra damage and knockback if they're currently on fire. Pyro's right-click, the Airblast, could serve as a reflector of sorts.

The Demoman is also a worthy contender, but he'd most likely be seen as another swordfighter with his Demoknight subclass.

As for Assist Trophies, there's a ton. There's the Halloween bosses—the Horseless Headless Headman, MONOCULUS, and Merasmus (who could work as stage hazards too), and then there's important characters in the lore, such as Saxton Hale.

Lots of content to pick from here.

While any TF2 representation isn't something I'd hold my breath for in Smash, I would still absolutely love to see it because the goofy, humorous nature of all the characters would be a great fit into the already-cartoony Smash series. The main problem comes with the fact that, compared to it's popularity in 2007, TF2 is sort of niche nowadays (not to say it's dead); as well as this, it would be quite odd for Nintendo, a console company, to represent a character from a PC game. And this is coming from someone who has over 900 hours in the game.

I found a moveset I made a while back for Heavy but with the whole Team backing him up.

There's a gap or two but tell me what you think

Heavy Weapons Guy Heavy is a tank of a character who excels at dealing and taking damage but has long wind ups and problems KO-ing. But what Heavy lacks, the power of Teamwork (and high explosives) will make up for.

Weight: Heavy (duh)
Size: Giant Man
Speed: Slow motion

Standard attacks
Ground A combo: One-two punch
A-side: uppercut from Heavy’s critical punch animation
A-Down: Sweeping punch
A-up: Spins shotgun on finger like in his taunt
Dash: Swings Sasha forwards
Smash Attacks Heavy’s up and forward Smashes are projectile attacks where he fires his mini-gun with longer charge times = longer firing times
Down Smash: Heavy wears the KGB and brings his hands down on either side, simiar to Donkey Kong

Aerials
Heavy is no air fighter but luckily he’s got some support…
Neutral Air: Heavy sticks his arms out to the side, short range attack
Forward Air: Sniper fires in front of heavy from off screen
Back Air: Sniper shoots behind Heavy
Up Air: Sniper shoots above Heavy’s head
Down Air: Heavy pulls his legs up as sniper shoots beneath him.

Grabs have Heavy hold foes down while other Team Members get a strike on them.

Special Attacks
Neutral Special: Planted shot. Heavy fires for as long as the button is held and can aim it in 360 directions, runs out of ammo eventually but recharges like Bowser’s firebreath.
Side Special: Cover Fire. Soldier lands in front of Heavy and fires a rocket. Can also tank a hit but disappears if so
Up Special: KA-BOOM! Demoman sets off explosives underneath Heavy’s keister, sending him straight upwards. Great recovery but damages Heavy on use
Down Special: Dispenser. On use, The engineer builds a dispenser that heals heavy and teammates when close and can act as a shield and lowers the rate that Planted Shot runs out of ammo. Takes a second to set up and if Engie is hit while building it is canceled.

FINAL SMASH: CHARGE ME! The Medic UberCharges Heavy who makes walks forward and shoots. In this state the bullets carry opponents off stage further.

Cloud was on the Playstation, and TF2 got ported to the PS3 as part of the Orange Box.

True, but that PS3 version never got updated while the PC version keeps on getting new content. At this point TF2 is practically a PC game.

I'd be happy with any TF2 character, since their all awesome in their own way. If I had it my way, I'd pick Scout with this moveset:

Neutral+B: Scattergun. Acts just the way it does, with a spread of bullets.

Side+B: Sandman. Scout hits a baseball that slows opponents on a successful hit.

Up+B: Atomizer. Scout uses his third jump to perform an upward strike with his bat.

Down+B: Crit-a-Cola. He drinks a soda and all his attacks are stronger for a short period of time (kinda like WFT)

Final Smash: Team Fortress. Scout captures an opponent and activates a cutscene where every mercenary is firing on them. At the end, an Ubercharged (Kritzkrieged?) Scout "home runs" them outta da park!

I didnt bother adding any of the normal attacks, since they'd probably just be strikes with the bat.

Another fun thing I thought of is of Scout "dominates" an opponent (wins by 3 lives or more), his victory screen will have him say a particular insult against the character he dominated.

We need to start a supporter list. Valve/TF2 Representation is 100% something I am down for!

There is actually a discord group that is actively looking to promote Heavy for Smash Bros. If anyone is interested, I would be more than happy to share links to their Twitter and Discord Servers.

I would be so happy for any TF2 content in Smash. I feel like it's a game that deserves to be immortalized in some what of a gaming hall of fame. Top 5 all time game on my list for sure.
