Taunts: A Necessary Evil?

With the exception of Captin Falcon I found the taunts in Melee mainly just plain annoying. Gimpyfish did say in his E for all review that the taunts had been completely redone, I hope to the point where they actually serve enough of a purpose or are amsuing enough to amke using one worth getting ***** with an fsmash from behind. What do you think about them, make them more creative, make them shorter, set a limit on the number of times you can use them or elminate them all together?

Without taunting, how would you tell someone on WiFi that he's just been on the bad side of an epic beating? Taunts are just there. and besides, they give you something to do while waiting for your opponent to respawn.

But if you wanna really own your opponent, you'll use one of your attacks as a taunt!
Ie, Jiggly's sing, Ness's magnet, Sheik's vanish, Pikachu's quick attack back and forth, or just crouch up and down with Fox

Of course Taunts are evil. They are meant to taunt people (annoy them to death). Taunts are a necessary evil.

Yeah, you can do any number of things to taunt your opponent. I tried to time a star KO with the end of Link's Spin Attack. Mostly because his default taunt is stupid.

Tuants are to know your pwn'ing someone, it just gives you the feeling of such victory hearing it so you can rub it directly in there face.

Yup I luv em too!, and if they ever get boring, theres always the good ol' DK airdodge as a taunt.
