First question:
How do I disable it so I dont jump whenever I go for an up air.
Second Question: If I cant disable it, what are some ways of getting around it.
(Im transitioning from Smash 3DS to melee so just getting over that L no longer grabs is an issue I find myself having.)
Also may as well throw in another question,
Is Melee DK and Project M DK the same?

You cant disable it, you can use the cstick if you have troubles with uair, PM and melee characters have similarities but ultimately aren't the same

I completely forgot to try the C-stick to do airials, I thought that was a feature the added in Project M, I'll probably use it exclusively for Up-Airs just for the not-jumping feature.
Thanks!
Also do any high level Smash players use the C-stick to preform arials?

It varies it's all player preference, I use cstick for uair and short hop aerials but A for everything else find what suits you

You can disable tap jump in 20XX hack pack and in PM, but I wouldn't recommend it since you'll just get used to not having it so you'll mess up whenever you have to play real Melee.

You can generally say that most low tier Melee characters will have large differences in PM. All characters are different in PM, but some more than others. You should be able to transition between the two DKs fine if you take the time to learn and remember all of the differences.

Yeah, can't turn tap jump off in vanilla Melee.

It's beneficial to use the c-stick for aerials as well.

All good players use the c-stick for about 90% of aerials. It's the only way to shuair without double jumping unless you have the most insane control over the movement stick ever conceived.

I got so used to this that when I play smash 64 online, I use a macro to have an up air button... lol. This way I can Shuair 100% of the time (or fall off ledge uair) without double jumping.
