Sword Dance = Longer Chain Throws?

I was kind of messing around with computers a few days ago and I was able to use Marth's Sword Dance (Foward B > Upward B) on fast fallers to continue throwing them. Unfortunately, I couldn't do it consistently because of the Level 9's crazy DI. Here's what I mean.

Just skip to 2:13 if you just want to see that part. I'm not a Marth user myself so I'm not going to spend a whole lot of time testing it out. What do you guys think? Innovative or unnecessary?

Well... it was kinda unecessary. I mean you were able to follow it up with another grab and that was good, but I wouldn't rely on it.
I mean its a good shock tactic here and there, but the best thing to do on a Falcon at that damage range (60 - 80) is just to end it with a good uthrow tipper, least imo. Oh, or if he DIs right then you can follow it up with a stream of fairs.

Interesting. It could be used as double jump bait for falcon, but I don't see any KO attack you could use other than up b. I think you might be able to use it to get behind Falcon if your back is facing the edge.

Basically, you didn't need to keep the grab up because at the damages he was at because a tipper would've finished it, and, while the grab looked cool it was much more innoficient.

Hm, I'll try messing around with it more on Falcons and fastfallers. If I'm able to follow that up with some kind of move that kills the opponent, it would be a pretty good surprise / flashy attack. Again, I'm not a Marth user myself, so I don't really know the tipper percentages for each character .

It seems like it might work, but only once or twice in a match. I might practice that, though. Use it, don't abuse it.

your falcon friend is quite good and you re good of a marth user too even though u dunt claim yourself to be a marth user XD keep it up, i like your tactic on falling off the edge with a fair and then a up b to set up for a dair
back on topic, that would be a fairly good mindgame as well, people would usually not expect a dancing blade up in teh air when they re expecting a tipper so they might DI weirdly to another grab. Perhaps maybe u could of continued the dancing blade to finish him off? or that would have been unnessecary...
i think i should try this out too, and i think Frostbyte's opinion was right on this
