last night i landed a bair that killed at about 80% usually it wont until about 120ish. this was from the middle of the stage and it appeared to make a slightly different animation when hit. not as noticable as a falcon knee or anything, but i am pretty sure that move has a sweet spot.

anyone else notice anything?

I think so too. It might be the heels of his foot that sweetspot, but I'm not sure. It is a stronger move too so if I'm wrong it may just be that were not used to his new-found power.

I've noticed that his b-air does seem to hit harder sometimes and I only notice it when I hit around the heels. Also, his f-air seems to have that same effect but obviously not as strong.

By the way, I am so upset that they nerfed his f-air! I used it all the time in melee, now I hardly even use it.

I do love his n-air now, though...

It seems like they made everyones B-air the strong move in the game.

...

In Melee I was soo used to using Luigi's F-air and D-air. I'm having a hard time not using them so often. lol

It depends on the player's DI and the fact that Luigi's Biar has multiple hitboxes. If u hit with the very ends of his feet, it's weak. If u get it more in the middle, it can kill at about 90 - 100ish guaranteed. Your opponent might have been DI'ing poorly though.

Sounds like crappy DI on the opponents part.. I don't think there's really a sweet spot, just the feet being the strongest point.

yeah, i also get this "bam" feeling when i hit with the heels, but that's probably just me
edit: it seems like luigi sucks his legs in and then presses out, i think right when he extends them to kick is where it has the most power.

Yea, it was crappy DI. I tried it again and it didn't work. I've been trying to find the sweet spot for forever and I can't find it.

wow smash secret...

Every character has their tipping point if i will. Its like any other character's attack ike's tipping point is on the tip of his sword and luigi's toes/heels. You can pop characters up into the air if ur tipping on the tip. its a great move to use. learn it.
