TheSpeedGamers are a group who does gaming marathons for charity. Right now they are doing a metroid one, and are raising money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. If they get on the front page of digg, tons of people will see and the donations will roll in, helping tons of kids with cancer. Please digg, http://digg.com/nintendo/Metroid_Marathon
(The other digg page had over 300 diggs, but got messed up so this is the new one)
and if you want to watch the marathon, it is on the front page of screwattack, or here: http://thespeedgamers.com/ .
Their next marathon will be a Mother marathon. This one will not be for charity, but to try to get Earthbound statebound. Everyone will be urged to call/email nintendo and pretty much bug them for three days to get Mother 3 released in the US and to try to get Earthbound on the virtual console.
Donations will also gain you entries into the grand prize raffle. 1 dollar will be one ticked, 5 dollars two tickes, 20 dollars three tickets, 50 dollars, 4 tickets, and for every fifty dollars afterwards, an extra ticket. The prize will be a copy of metroid prime 3 signed by the Retro Studios development team. It will be personally signed to the winner, and shall not be sold.
