Bring your a-game and show off your Smash Bros. skills!
Super Smash Bros. Wii-U Tournament. We've been doing great and it's only going to get crazier as there's been a few changes to the rules for this particular tourney this week.
Prizes tba! All ages and skill levels welcome!

We'll also be using Battlefy.com for the tournament moving forward, allowing a more streamlined setup.

We'll be following some revised rules for singles matches compared to previous weeks:
-The tournament format will be Double Elimination format.
-2 Stock, 6-minute Limit
-Items Off
-Equipment Off
-Best of 3 (2/3); Semi-Finals and Finals Best of 5 (3/5)
-Starting Stages: Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville, Town & City, or any Omega Stage
-Counterpick Stages: Duck Hunt, Lylat Cruise
-NO Custom Moves
-NO Amiibos
-No loading data from DS
-You may not choose a stage you already won on unless mutually agreed upon.
-You may not play on a stage that is not on the available stages list. This will result in a double disqualification.
-Winner of a round picks their character first for the next round, allowing the loser of the previous round to pick a counter character if they so choose.
-Any additional rules will be explained at the event.

We'll be providing some controllers (choice between a Wii U Gamepad, Wiimote, Wiimote w/ Nunchuck, and GC Controller. Sorry, no Wii U Pro Controllers available as of yet.) Feel free to bring your own controllers (labelled or marked in some way to show it belongs to you). In addition to the controllers provided, allowed controllers are Wii U Pro Controllers and Wii-U Fight Pads. However the old Wavebird Wireless Gamecube Controllers specifically are BANNED (for simplicity and to eliminate potential problems.)

Registration and casual play from 12:30PM-1:15PM but feel free to arrive early (no earlier than Noon) and meet other players. Also, up-and-coming YouTuber and Twitch Streamer Tom "TheyCallMeTakeo" Moen will be there hosting and facilitating the event.

If there is a large turnout, the tournament may be extended into the next week, with this week's event being treated as a qualifier event, and the next week being finals. The reason for this is for scheduling purposes.

Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase (including energy drinks). And once the event for the day is over, you'll also have the option to stay as well for the anime Midnight Marathon afterward starting at 6pm.
