ive been thinking is this game violent? theres this kid i know whos obsessed with ssmb he once got angry at his lil bro( age 5) and he freakin through him off the top bunk bed. that 5 year old was cryed forever almost and his mom banned him from ssmb and his father smashed his wii since he was not studying enough and always was rude to his parents and was like retarted(from my point of view). so do u think this is an problem for some people or an problem everyone should be worried about?

For the record, smashing a Wii is a waste of money. It's not the Wii's fault that he didn't discipline his kid correctly.

I highly doubt Smash could be blamed for the kid's nature. Sure, it's violent, but cartoonish violence is much different from cartoon violence. I don't suppose the kid threw his brother off the bunk bed expecting he'd respawn with one less stock.

If anything, the source of the violent impressions seems to be coming from his dad.

Wow, way to show a little compassion folks...

Anyway, if the kid described in the op post was throwing people off of beds and not doing well in school, there's definitely more going on than just being a Smash Bros fan. The "violence" in Smash Bros is all very clearly fantasy based, if you want to point fingers at game violence there are plenty of more realistic things to accuse. So unless the child is too young to actually be playing the game (they have ratings for a reason, you know), I don't think there's any problem here.

There has already been another thread about this in the Melee Discussion. Not only should this thread not be here, there's really no use for it. It's not the game's fault. The parents should've looked at the rating to see if their child was mature enough to handle such content. Besides, this game defies reality, so it's good to know the difference between fantasy and real life.

the dumb s*** that people do just because the can't control themselfs and i agree no can
learn anger by themselfs and it's always the parents fault for not being resopsible for raising
their child properly
in sure that was and is the only case involing this game
come on it's made by nintendo.

Ok well one person that plays smash bros hurt someone...it must be smash bros.

Oh wait...WAIT! Breaking news. Another person that played smash bros DIDN'T commit any violent acts, along with another couple million. Give a million people a box of cornflakes and when one of them hurts someone else blame the flakes.

great, jack thompson's going to start targeting ssb for its ability to influence children to steal cars and commit crime.

back on topic, don't crocs live in saltwater? or is it the other way around?

Lol... Wow, I just was like scrolling in this thread and reading about some ******** kid then... Crocodiles came out of my screen and bit my legs off but then I grabbed them and threw them out my window (atleast a 150 foot drop). The crocodiles were 4 stocked. OWNED! Good news is I still got my arms left to play smash with!
Hurray! :p

Yup. Saltwater is home to crocs. It's because Crocodiles have certain glands in their tongues that can get rid of excess salt, so they live in saltwater places...

But you wana know something REALLY cool, On crocidiles, thier teeth at the front of thier jaw sticks up over the upper lip......in alligators, the teeth are more inside thier mouths
