Looks like it'd be good enough. Though you could build a much better computer for the same amount of money.

I think the laptop should be okay but I'm not sure. It has a U series processor, or ultra low voltage. They are designed to not use a lot of energy, not do a lot of CPU demanding stuff like emulation. They can throttle to reduce the load and save energy. The M, MQ, or HQ 3rd+ gen Intel core i3/i5/i7 processors are probably a better choice.

I still think you can build a desktop with better specs for the same price as a good laptop.

Thank you! Do you recommend any other laptops for not too much more? Also this processor has turbo boost technology so when you need more power like playing games this processor will allow that.

Do you also know any good pc builds i have tried before to try and make one but amd isn't that great with emulation

Yes it has turbo boost technology and when the turbo boost is going, it will run fine. However if it is using too much power it will not utilize turbo boost and it may not be fast enough to run full speed.

Just find any laptop with an i5 4XXXM, i7 4XXXMQ/HQ. The rest of the specs and price are up to you. You don't need a dedicated graphics card either, the integrated graphics will suffice for up to 2.5-3x internal resolution if you want to save money.

The build I linked you is an intel build. Emulation requires high single thread performance which AMD lacks. The G3258 processor is the god of emulation; it has amazing single thread performance (on par with i7 4790k when overclocked) despite only having two cores (Dolphin and most emulators can only use two cores). It is very cheap so it is the best price/performance for emulation.
