This announcement caught my attention the most though.

I'm a little conflicted on him having the "random items" in his moveset (hopefully his gamefeel makes up for it either way). But I will admit the Hurricane Spin is a nice touch.

From the looks of it, at least from this very brief showcase, it's just two moves. Deku Leaf as back air (with potentially a wind box?), and Skull Hammer as either forward or down smash which is perfectly fine imo. They make sense the way they're being used and additional items don't take over the rest of the move set so I think it's fine tbh.

Ah ok, I haven't seen the full moveset yet as I don't really follow crusade that much anymore. Those changes I'm a bit less fond of but I suppose I should see them in action first.

Crusade picking up the slack where Sakurai left on the cutting room floor. Also, a Gen 2 Pokémon.

Fun facts: Balloon Fighter was made for a now-cancelled "balanced" mod build called Crusade Minus, now incorporated into "official" Crusade. Also, Scizor was made by a particularly talented CMC+ community member.

Fun fact: this is the first time "official" Crusade has adapted a post-Brawl newcomer (Ridley, Pac-Man, Mega Man, and Little Mac were in before they were revealed for their respective debuts, and Mega Man and Mac were given "modes" that reflect their official Smash selves after the fact).
