I thought of this story around the time Brawl was released, when people were finally cooling down about _____ not being in the game. It seemed like a nice idea at the time, and folks on other forums seemed to enjoy it, so I figured, why not here?
I'm sure you had at least one character you really, really wanted in the game. Come on, we all did. Well it turns out that those characters aren't too happy about not joining the fight, and have decided to show up anyway, (even though they weren't invited.) This story shows us the many adventures they have, either problems amongst themselves or trying to live with the fighters in secret.
It was meant to be a comedy, but I think I crossed that line very early on.
--- Chapter One: The Witch & The Swordsman ---
"Come on-"
"No."
"But we all have so much to offer-"
"I said NO, Roy. Now get out of my sight."
The red haired boy sighed, lowering his sword. He was once again the spokesman for a few characters who had heard they weren't going to be participating in the new Smash Bros. venture. Since Roy had the most courage out of them, or rather he was stupid enough to be convinced, he was always sent to try and reason with Master Hand.
But no matter what he tried, the giant glove kept refusing him. He tried begging, he tried pleading, and he even tried candy and flowers (Which might've worked, if the chocolate pieces didn't all have coconut filling. No one likes coconut.)
As he was warped away from the large platform known as the "Final Destination," he appeared in front of a large mansion. He sighed heavily as he walked in, seeing a small group of people waiting for him.
"So, how did it go?"
A small boy in green clothing stepped forward, holding a milk bottle in his hand. It was Young Link, the youth version of the Hero of Time. Roy shook his head, causing Young Link to look down in depression.
"Aw crap … Again?" He asked. Roy nodded.
"I don't know what to try … Maybe if one of you newbies try it?" Roy said, looking at the group. A girl stepped forward, with large black ponytails and an orange hair clip to keep them in place. A long red dress covered her, with a scarf and skull broche around her neck.
"This is just ridiculous - It's a giant hand. You can't convince a body part to let us fight each other?" She asked, looking rather annoyed. Roy walked past the group, sitting down in a small chair against the wall.
"He's said it before Ashley, no means no." Roy looked up, seeing the girl's eyes had now turned a blood red, and were beginning to glow. Roy tried backing up, but was forced against the wall as Ashley approached him, looking directly into his eyes.
"You're going to give up this easily? How in the world did you make it into the previous fight? You're nothing but a coward!" Ashley said, her glare not changing. Roy gulped, finally gaining some courage and looking back at the girl.
"Who are you calling a coward? You just hide behind your magic - Witches can't fight!" He said, shaking slightly. Ashley clenched her hand, raising her arm and aiming her fist directly for Roy's nose.
"How dare you! You're gonna pay for-" Ashley's fist was stopped short as something pulled her dress, pulling her backwards. Ashley looked down, seeing a small Devil pulling with all his might to get her away from Roy. "Red, let go. He's getting what he deserves." Ashley said, trying to knock the little devil away. Red shook his head, tugging on her even more.
"Violence doesn't solve anything!"
Everyone became silent, exchanging glances. Red quickly realized what he said, and released his grip.
"I mean … This isn't violence! This is all E-rated fun, and we're not actually getting hurt!" He said, still looking nervous. Ashley smirked, raising her arm once again.
"Then I suppose Roy won't mind getting his jaw broken!" She said, her punch connecting and hitting the boy hard in the face, knocking him over. As Roy lay against the wall in a daze, a small girl pushed Ashley aside, looking down with concern.
"Are you okay, Roy? Speak to me!" The girl had a beautiful white dress on, with large black eyes - The 'Toon' version of Princess Zelda. Roy nodded, standing and dusting himself off.
"Yeah, I'm fine. As for you …" He glared at Ashley, who returned the look. Roy grabbed his sword, holding it firmly and pointing it at the Witch. Ashley held out a palm, looking down at Red. The small devil nodded, crossing his arms. A puff of smoke surrounded him, a magic wand appearing and flying into Ashley's hand. The wand glowed as Ashley pointed it directly towards Roy.
"It's on."

This chapter was very short, as I was nervous about the reactions I would get. Future chapters aren't THIS small, I promise. I have ... I think 8 or so more written already, although I'm not sure on the exact number. I'd like to wait until I get at least one positive review before I post the 2nd chapter.
This may be filled to the brim with typos, as I haven't checked it since I first posted it months ago in another forum, so please ignore them.
