There is this tech ive known about since last april but havent shared with anyone until yesterday, dont ask me why. Actually I wanted to eventually show it in a new tech video alongside the other hidden tech nobody knows about, but Im giving in and ill share this easy one (that again, nobody has yet discovered for some reason afaik)

Do a foxtrot, and right after your second hit on the analog stick hit shield. You should perform a shield-less roll, which is the fastest way to roll in sm4sh. It's good as your opponent is getting towards the end of his stock and you need one final grab to finish him. From my experience the foxtrot to quick roll always catches them at a disadvantageous position because they arent expecting that fast of a roll. Hence why I have long labeled it a SUPER ROLL. It is also so easy to do and is easier than running-shielding-tapping analog again for the roll. And again, not just easier but it's also a quicker roll because you are in shield for exactly 0 frames.
It doesnt have to be after the second tap of the foxtrot per say, as long as you are foxtrotting correctly, ie the way you dash dance, you can hit shield at the right time for a super roll. Meaning of course this also works out of a dash dance. And youre welcome, Little Mac mains. ;)

And fyi the name fits because rolls arent special anyway, so attaching the descriptive "super" to it gives it the humorous giggles it deserves.

If you buffer Forward+Shield after most any input (which is technically what you're doing), or press Forward and shield at the same time, OR press Shield almost immediately after a Forward input, you will roll without putting up a shield. Simple to verify this in Training Mode with the "hold L to advance frame" speeds.

This is trivial and can be done without any complicated extra input; just requires half-decent timing. There is no special tech happening with your example except for people having a hard time reacting after a foxtrot due to pressure/unpredictability.
