We all know you can cancel De's up+b by pressing down, this helps a lot. But by hitting down right as you start flying up you cancel it early and freefall down. Compare this to short hops and full jumps, you fly lower and come down much faster when you cancel it like this. Most useful when you're so close to the ledge but you just need a little bit more.
It's easy: Just up+b and spam down as fast as you cam.
