Super Mario RPG on wii

i was on wikipedia looking at the article for Super Mario RPG Legend Of The Seven Stars and saw that the game was going to be put on the wii or what they called it "virtual console". does this mean i have to buy the game from the wii shop channel because i don't have the best internet connection???? Someone please tell me
