I've played the entire franchise but only recently wanted to get better as a player and not just be the casual average player. I started wanting to get better with smash 4 but everyone in my area flaked and i lack proper internet to play at home. i can only play online at the homies place (satellite internet is just solid enough to post and surf forums lol). Just found a coworker at work that plays melee a ton but has no one to play against. hit him up about it. said the magic words "you play competitive?" im like i do now! waiting for my copy in the mail.

Not sure who i will main in melee but DK has been my favorite nintendo franchise so i default to him or mario because that metor spike of his is so smooth lookin.

Heard about the smash boards in my quest for info for smash 4. never made an account till this week.

I don't attend tournies but i would love to. Im trying to set some goals for long term after reaching a certain level of play (which is decent to start) so i show up and be worth playing haha.

Need a competitive outlet since no one around here plays other fighting games and i lack internet.

Also i can get my fill and go back to learning to draw which i also started recently. amazing what losing online play via moving does do you lol.

having at least one person that wants to play is enough for now. Get out that need to compete and then focus on that art **** that i wanna get gud at as well. I found some others at work that like melee the most but don't play competitively so either by encouragement are talkin mad smack i will get more to play haha. Luckily PA is not a long drive for me, i just gotta find someone to go with and buy a GPS. may make a trip over winter break.
