Sup, I'm new here!

Hello! I'm a newbie to the smashboards.

In smash 4 I currently main Mario and Yoshi, but I seem to be losing skill with Mario, perhaps because I'm trying out new characters, and I've gotten into Link and R.O.B. I don't really have any backstory to my mains, I just try out characters and see if they're to my liking. However, Yoshi is my favorite video game character!

I decided to join here in hopes of getting tips and become a better player. I can't remember how I heard about this place.

I don't attend tournaments and at this time in my life I don't want to. I'm currently a student doing my GCSE's and I think attending tournament would be a tough thing to do.

I don't do much outside of gaming. I do watch anime but not too much, and as mentioned above, I'm a student.

At this current moment in time I can't think of any communities I'm part of. If social media counts I guess I have a couple.

Also as a student who lives in the North East of the UK and is also going through GCES's... Attending tournaments is not very hard in my experience. Try to enter tournaments in weekends.

Also i can play Smash 4 Wii U with you once i am finished with my hiatus on Smash 4.

Well at least anytime soon I won't be attending. I get it is a way to get better but I feel my skill level just isn't there yet. I'm not really fully experienced, I haven't a clue what most technical stuff means either. And I'm not very good with complex combos, they have to be simple for me. Infact most of the time I just play against computer with a friend of mine in teams.

Edit: But me not knowing stuff was the whole point of me coming here!

Edit2: I forgot to mention that I have a broken gamepad atm, and charger. I'm only able to play 3ds.

You should attend tournaments as you can learn from better players and get advice... Do not worry about your skill level. What really matters the most that you are having fun and you are learning.

Also Smash 4 as not as technical as Melee.
