Suffolk county smashers? Mainly ssbm!

So basically, I'm just an average kid who enjoys the competitive wonders of super smash. One of my deepest goals in life is to become a renowned kirby player, as kirby is my favorite character and pros who main him are scarce. My biggest issue however is that my friends aren't nearly as into smash as I am, and tournaments within my range of transportation are hard to come by! Even the best person I've played with on a friendly level has said his experience with tournaments was somewhat overwhelming, and he doesn't play as seriously as he used to. I'm really just trynna find some people to play smash seriously with, people who can help me improve & vice versa. So, anyone in the suffolk county area willing to make some new friendly competition, possibly even throw a couple tournaments if enough people are down?

Don't worry man, I'm mainly melee! All smash games are great, but I really only see brawl as training for spacing, sidestepping, PSC's, and the like.
