Long story short, my Fight Pad's C-Stick broke, and while I ordered a GameCube controller adapter off Amazon today, it won't be here for at least two weeks. In the meantime, I have a Wiimote, the GamePad, and my 3DS as "controllers". Of these three two (the Wiimote sucks for Smash), which one would you say is the best substitute in the meantime; the GamePad or 3DS?

Thank you!

I love the Wii Classic Controller Pro and It's pretty much become my primary choice unless I run out of AA batteries. Nice grip and it's even lighter then the GCN controller, so I do prefer it over the WiiU-version. It's a great substitute in general to the GCN controller and compatible with all WiiU games as well.

This guy:

Now to answer your actual question, I'd personally go with the WiiU brick. The 3DS is lighter and more comfortable, but having two shoulder buttons is pretty important to me. In the end though, this is a very subjective question and it's your hands. You'll have to see for yourself what feels most comfortable to you.

If you're coming off of the GameCube controller, the Wii U game pad will most likely be the better choice.

Two weeks? Dang. Well, I currently use the GamePad with the GC controls. I love it and it works fine for me. It took some getting used to since I've played Smash for years with only a GC controller, but when I went back to play Brawl a few weeks ago for fun, the GC controller felt so small and weird haha. I actually ordered the GC adapter this week, and not because I don't like the GamePad, but it's for my brother and other guests so they don't have to use the Wii Remote, since I don't have a 3DS or Wii U Pro controller or anything like that. I will likely use the GC Controller for when I'm playing looking at the TV, and the GamePad when I'm feeling lazy and wanna just lie down and look at that screen. :p But yeah, I don't know about the 3DS controls but I recommend the GamePad as a substitute. (Long winded post is long winded)
