Subspace Emissary cutscenes languaje?

So far, the cut scenes I've seen for the Subspace emissary have all been silent hero style, very a la Nintendo.
This means, the whole subspace emissary will be played with every hero saying nothing more than random eek! and ow!?
So, no speaking?I find it hard , but sounds logical, so that Link keeps his silent status, but how deep can the story go this way?

Actually, my real concern it is, since the dojo's updates include an Spanish , French and some other versions, does this mean multilingual support for the game? If so, this includes character lines, or just some basic interface translation?

I'd find it very disturbing to hear any of these characters in spanish-

although, subtitles? :ohwell:

If there's already a thread with the answer to the languaje support and how it will be, please post the link, and close/delete this. Otherwise, please led me to the knowledge.

Don't count on voice support for this mode, man. I thought this was also a bit sad, but so far it seems like it doesn't need it too much. I don't even know if the characters that are supposed to talk are even going to in this mode... what a let down... to be honest.

You spelled "language" wrong lol.
Look at the OP's location. It's understandable.

At any rate, I've noticed that they appear to have done some localization between the US and Japan (in particular, the Wario Ware sing).

The Italian version uses the English version of Ashley's Theme. I don't know how much localization they are planning on, or how much the characters will speak.

If you watch all the existing SSE clips, it's easy to tell what's going on. The story is conveyed perfectly, without the need for the characters to talk.

This is bearing in mind that all the characters we've seen videos for so far are either silent in their games, or speak using text (with the exception of Peach).

EDIT - And Fox, haha!

Now that I think about it, never mind my post up there. I'm 100percent sure snake will talk in SSE, he has to.
Oh, good point. Snake lacking lines seems awkward.

Though, I think Fox lacking lines seems awkward too (though not to the same degree). He had the perfect chance to throw in a "come with me" to Diddy in the video on the Dojo, but he didn't. Hopefully that's not a sign of things to come.

P.S. Is your name taken from that one-episode-only cartoon on Cartoon Network about that kid with that monkey for a brother? Where they have to watch that mad scientist's lab for a while and everything goes to Hell? The mad scientist's got a crab claw for one of his arms.

Just curious.

Well think about it, Diddy cant speak English what would be the point in engaging conversation.

Didn't that guy with a lobster arm re-appear in KND?

Maybe they will stay true to the characters and only some will talk while others will have just text based conversations. Some won't need to converse at all.

zelda characters minus Link might use text based dialogue.
Mario characters might not need any.
Kirby characters minus Kirby can use text, some might even talk.
Metal Gear characters will obviously talk.

etc.

Well, sure. But how would Fox know that? It's not like he could've made the assumption that Diddy couldn't talk just because he's an animal because Fox himself is also an animal. It would make sense to at least try to communicate.

Yeah, I think you're right. But did he keep his lobster arm? For whatever reason my memory tells me he's just your normal, everyday mad scientist in KND.

EDIT: Wait! He's got a turtle shell or something, doesn't he?

A Turtle Shell, and I believe he went rhough other apparitions as well. My memory's a bit fuzzy as well.

But yes, I definitely remember him trying to imitate bowser.

CORRECT! I'm surprised someone actually found this out. If I could quickly find an image of a cookie I would give you one! :)

Correct but before assuming wouldnt a hand gesture suffice. Its not like Fox had the time to test if diddy knew english.

I wonder if all the characters won't talk throughout the entire emissary, then at the end once the boss is defeated, everyone will talk. You then realize that the entire nintendo/others cast was under a spell that had hindered their vocal chords.

I think some characters that have had lines before will speak. Link, Samus, and characters that are known for their silence will remain silent. For example, we know in 3D Sonic games, he can be quite the chatterbox (although Tails makes you think GAH SHUT UP ALREADY)

speaking of this, this might actually point to tails being in the game too. Where would TALKING sonic be when he's stuck with Link... This would be awkward. Tails might be in it!

Hey! I'm Mexican too, and I have excellent grammar.

Please don't judge a whole country by a few bad apples, Its not cool.

On topic:

I really think that the clips should be kept silent, its just better that way.

I don't think he was judging the country, just pointing out that his first language isn't English, so he's likely to have a few mistakes here and there, and it would be more understandable than someone whose first language is English (though it's not like everyone worries about grammar/spelling on a forum :dizzy:). Also, don't confuse grammar with spelling. Oh, and for the record, I'm Mexican too. ;)

By the way, you spelled "it's" wrong. :p

Back on topic, I believe there was another thread about this.. But anyways, I'm sure there will be voices in the SSE, even if just saying a phrase or two, depending on the character (for silent characters, maybe just a grunt or something :p). As far as dialogs go, I can only think of Snake, Fox and maybe Sonic. And about the language, I'd say there will be both Japanese and English dialogs/voices like in Melee, where if you changed the language option, the voices (and names) of some characters changed. I remember Fox, Falco and Mewtwo talked in Japanese during their taunts/winning poses.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them do the same in brawl for players like Snake, Sonic and the Pokémon Trainer. Currently, the Dojo has videos with dialogs in both Japanese and English, so those two are for certain. I don't think they'll add voices in other languages, but maybe they'll have multi-language support for the game interface.

I would prefer SSE w/o voice dialogue. The videos we have seen so far looked great without voice, and we understood what was going on.

We might get narration or text dialogue. Either work fine for me.

Snake might only talk in his transmission sequences. It would be odd if he is the only one talking.

I imagine some of the characters will talk in SSE but it will be limited to only a few lines at best. It would be best that way, you know give the characters a chance to let their personalities shine.
