That being said, this is actually the wrong section for this discussion since this part of the forum is specifically about Characters while this would normally go into General Discussion.
We might see a adventure mode campaign, but it won't be Subspace Emissary 2.0. Sakurai has already specifically stated in an interview that he won't be continuing the SSE, which I for one see as a good thing.

And Thank god for that.
No matter how much they improve it people would complain it is extremely difficult and touchy to do a great story with so many important chars altogether the peak is limitless like it cant be reached anyway...plus it takes a tone of memory and time so its best they abondoned it.
One of the best development descisons they chose with Sm4sh imo.
