Stutter Stepping Lucas' fsmash

Stuttering stepping Lucas' fsmash slides him rather far backward, and could be used for spacing and maybe (occasionally) dodging an incoming attack. Distance is almost exactly one green arrow width (Final Destination).

Just an interesting observation. Not sure if anyone's made it yet. Also, I'm pretty sure this can be put down as dashing in one direction and smashing in the other. Either way, the effect is the same.

Stutter stepping requires the c-stick to function. Given that just about every lucas player uses the b-stick instead, it's sort of a useless tech. Otherwise, it'd be a pretty useful for spacing.

When you're using a forward smash attack, smash back on the analog stick and then forward on the c-stick shortly afterwards. You'll shoot forward with most characters, increasing the range of their f-smash. Yoshi and sonic are two examples of characters that benefit from this.

Lucas has a stutter step smash that seems to be a defensive technique however.

Anyone have a video of this?

Shouldn't take long and will help out with the bstick vs cstick discussion.

Up-smash is a slide, not a step, and also you can stutter step with A, just don't press A immediately.
