on FD, if you do a ledge drop up B, you will sometimes go REALLY low and suicide under the stage with your up B. This seems most common on FD (maybe cuz I played that stage a lot, I don't know) but it's happened to me on many stages already. If you do it too fast, or too slow, your up B will be fine and you will live, but if you do it right in the middle at a certain part, you will just suicide. It's really stupid. Just wanted to warn you all about that.

dfear - no, that's not it at all, and yes you can usually glide to the other side but it's so easy for anyone with a brain to edge hog you
so its impossible to survive then? thing i dnt understand is why u would let go of the edge down to just shuttle loop back up if u can just fly?

if you're on the edge and they are coming from above recovering, and you wanna reverse shuttle loop them, and you drop too low you'll just die. It has happened to me before, it's stupid.
You mean shuttle loop in the opposite direction of the stage?

when i say reverse i mean hit them with your back, it doesn't have to be going toward the edge, in this case i meant being on the edge doing a normal shuttle loop toward the stage

anyway, the point is you can SD sometimes, as i said in my first post, if you go a little down, but not too far down. Just some random spot in the middle makes you SD. It's not a huge deal it's just stupid that that happens.

I've done one away from the stage and grabbed the edge immediately. How do you do that? That seems more effective to me.

Really hate when this happens. But I often jump right after I let go of the ledge and then Up B. So I will launch away my opponents, and then fly after them to execute a Glide attack. But this can be countered, and should not be used to often (maybe even not at all).

theres quite a bit ammount of space where you slide up the ledge tho. like in mele where marth used his up b on final des he slides up. wlel mk does this too u must be wayy wayy down for his up b to miss and not slide up

I've only had this happen on FD, but it's happened more than a few times.
