Stupid Marth

Hi, my super obnoxious friend who always has this stupid grin on his face after he wins (rarely does) has started messing around with marth against my sheik. I have a ton of problems against him

1. He C-sticks like crazy, which is super annoying
2. His range means I usually get hit again and again, and I can't reach him
3. His F-Smash (used 90% of the time) sends me really far horizontally, how do I get back?
4. On the small stages he chooses, there's no where to DI after being hit, and he just hits me again

So, can anyone help me destroy his marth?

1. punish him for whiffing. grab, dash attack, smash, etc.
2. use your speed to get around it. Marth is laggy enough that if he misses, you get a free hit.
3. DI up (and towards the stage) to survive the f-smash at higher percents. Avoid tippers, since they kill at relatively lower percents.
4. Lies.

wow, what a coincidence, my friend does the same exact thing, and i have learned that people like this always do this in a certain pattern, so just wavedash back when you know its coming, and punish him,u can also shield then dashgrab. also for DI'ing, you can try to DI down.

Shiek has very nice capabilities against Marth. Needle from afar, Every tilt at mid percentage leads to a fair or upair, low percentages downthrow to ftilt to anything until he learns to DI. Mid to high percentage down throw to fair, upair, or upsmash for the KO. Shiek's dash attack is also effective as long as you don't over do it and get shield grabbed. Marth is recovering below the stage? Either jump and needle him to stop his momentum or just edgehog to nair or bair to knock him off.

If he Fsmashes alot, learning to wavedash out of shield will destroy him. Dash to shield block the Fsmash wavedash out of shield to grab or anything you want really. Shiek has a much easier time killing Marth than Marth does killing Shiek. Just learn to gimp his recovery and DI the Fsmash when your recovering (you should know by now if your going to get hit by it when your recovering or not and prepare for it).

I'd suggest learning to spam spot dodge every other moment. I'm really not trying to sound rude or superior, but i have to say it works VERY VERY well at your level of play, especially against that kind of opponent.

What are some recommended approaches against Marth? I can beat him pretty badly on Final Destination without the platforms, but I have difficultly elsewhere approaching.
