Stuck Light Shielding

Sorry if this is a repeated post, but my controller has an issue where I will sometimes light shield after I try to wavedash or l cancel.

To test my trigger, I would press and let go the trigger repeatedly and see what my character shield looks like. Every now and then I will visibly see me hard shield into growing light shield, as if I were to slowly let go of the trigger even when I press it quickly.

I think it is a problem with the slider, since I have swapped the back of the controller with another one and the problem persists. Also when I do the same trigger test on the other controller with the swapped back it looks just fine.

Does anyone know the fix for this?

You can spray some WD-40 on a q tip and apply it to the slider, that makes it a bit smoother and lasts quite a few weeks I've found. It's also possible you didn't align the slider and back properly, although tends to produce a much more noticeable effect in my experience

Thanks for the insight, I ended up using the stuff on a condom to lube the slider since I didn't have any wd-40 or anything of the sort. Although it is working so far, I really hope this doesn't damage my controller lol.
