Streaming Equipment in Detail.

I've been searching for a long time trying to see what These top tier streamers use. However even on here, I cannot get a direct answer. what do they use and how do they use it. i have a great capture card but i want to know what else is there. i heard about splitters and upscales but again this is all inconsistent on Smashboards. Some say you need it some don't. Can I please just get a direct answer on where everything goes, from someone who actually does this stuff for VGBC or Apex, CT and what have you. In fact it would be nice to have a visual map of the different connects or at least have it described in a way that makes sense rather than just being told what some people have and never being told how to use them or why.
