So I'm post this to make a thread on something that I get cought with not a ton but more than I like its:

I approch with a short hop-nair or fair and sometimes d-air and get grabbed before I can do anything else. Sometimes it seems like Lucas hasn't even finished his air attack anmation and I still get snagged. Can't even get an AAA out?

I've noted it alot when fighting Toon Link and Ness...T.link alot!

So tell any ideas to change this approch and stop this maddness!:psycho:

Be less predictable; mix up your approaches.
Or, play defensive; let them approach.

That's all I've got.

Don't use SH Fair. It's easy to shield or spotdodge and the opponent can grab or do fast moves before you even land on the ground. SH Nairs should be fine as long as you're DIing behind them if they start shielding it and then fastfall and do another SH Nair. FHFF Dairs should be fine as well as long as you DI behind them you should be perfectly safe.

what Tyr said about SH fair. It's just....just bad, that's all.
nair too often and you will get killed.
the problem is that even if you get an AAA combo out after the nair, if they're quick enough with the grab (which it sounds like your opponent is) then the grab's super armor will make your jab useless. I have this problem against dedede a lot.

you have to approach differently sometimes, even though nair is the main move.
and PKF, but against toon link it's effectiveness is limited.
try doing nair and dare and landing behind them so instead of grab they have to do something else.
if you're fast enough, you can shield and punish their punishment.

What about shbair? Not Rar tho..just run and jump and whip them in the face from behind. I'm not sure if thats clear..anyway I've yet to try it on a live opp.

Yes this could work but there are many more options that would lead better into combos...and doing a bair without using rar causes you more time near your opponent before you actaully hit them giving them more time to react
