Sticker Theory - insight on Animal Crossing and Advance Wars reps through stickers?

Alright, I have just this moment developed a small theory while looking over the sticker update we got on Friday. It really started off as more of a thought, but with recent events, I think I can call it a fairly solid theory now. What really got me thinking was this -

Also, some stickers can only be placed on certain characters.
Well, what stickers might those be? Then, looking at the screenshots Sakurai provided, it seems to me as if he's using Kirby as an example for all of them, as we can see Kirby's icon down at the bottom for many, and in the game over screenshot, it's Kirby who is falling...into the void, I shall say :p

Then, in the first screenshot that shows examples of stickers on the trophy base, we see a huge Kirby sticker on there. So this got me thinking...perhaps stickers with definitive versions of the playable characters on them can only put on that playable character's trophy base? Now I know this isn't confirmed as fact, but the recent near 100% confirmation of Ness, Jigglypuff and Lucario through the stickers(click here if you don't know what I'm talking about) lends even more support to this idea, as well as extends it to significant stickers from a series only being able to be used on characters from that series. For instance, only Mother characters can use Claus, only Pokemon characters can use Groudon.

Well, if all that's true, what does that mean? If this theory was undeniably true, it'd mean we'd be able to deconfirm some characters based on who is seen as a sticker on Kirby's trophy stand. Most notably, this seems to include an Animal Crosser(though I don't know if you'd call him a definitive Animal Crosser) and Andy from Advance Wars. Also, some Warioware characters I can't put a name to, some others I don't recognize, and a giant, walking banana. I know, I wanted to play as the banana, too :(

Basically, I'm just saying, if only pokemon characters can use Groudon, and if only Mother characters can use Claus, does it make any sense that Kirby would be able to use an Animal Crossing Villager sticker if there was a playable Animal Crossing character? I don't think it does. So, this suggests that there is no playable Animal Crossing character. Doesn't confirm it, please don't mistake me. It just suggests it...quite heavily, in my opinion.

Then, of course, there is the fact that Andy from Advance Wars has a black background...I have no idea what that means, but it could certainly be very significant in all of this.

Really, I could be completely off, but I think it's all something worth thinking about.

i think that this either is just coincicence, or that sakurai is deconfirming characters.
but i dont know which. good theory

Well, some stickers can be used on anyone! The banana ...thing... does not have any restrictions on who can have it, so an AC person is still in the air!
Oh and andy might have a black backround because he might be rare or something... who knows

True that Kirby was using the banana thing, but I would hardly count that as significant to its respective series as an Animal Crosser Villager, or Andy himself, are to theirs. It seems to me that the more significant the sticker is to its series, the higher the likelihood that it can only be used by a character from that series. But, like I said, I could be completely wrong here.

True. Rather aside the point, though, we can't really make comment on the different colored backgrounds in respect to this theory until we know what they mean, except to say it could be significant.

Does anyone know what that text even says yet? Does it really prove that she's exclusive? All we have is some blurry Japanese text from the video and half a letter in the screenshot with Katrina. I'm not convinced until I know exactly what that text means.

And yeah, the cell phone is rather odd, I don't know what to make of it. Perhaps Sakurai threw some random exclusives in there, too? Who knows how Sakurai does things, really. Up until(haha) tonight, I was convinced Ness was out, so I'm not going to try and understand his methods. The important thing is they're still connected by series. It just wouldn't make sense to me that Kirby would be able to use an AC Villager sticker, if he himself was playable.

But then there's that screenshot with Katrina from Animal Crossing being exclusive to an unseen character. What would that mean? Plus, the cell phone isn't very important to its' franchise, yet it's still exclusive to Kirby reps.
The cellphone is an item in the Kirby series as in Kirby the Amazing Mirror to call folks.

On the topic, I do think that implies an Animal Crossing character, or something close to it.

I'm sure background color has no meaning, as we see it on multiple characters. But Bluerockworld has a good point. It could mean rarity, or even that certain ones you can only get one of. Only time (or Sakurai) will tell.

I don't think the stickers are exclusive to their respective series all the time.

I think Groudon is one example of a pokemon sticker that can only be used by pokemon, but I'm willing to bet that there are other pokemon stickers that can be used with anyone.
Also, I'm willing to bet there are stickers like Katrina who do not have a playable character for their series, and are instead only usable with say, Kirby characters.

I am rooting for both andy and crosser though.

I'm not saying that all stickers are exclusive to their respective series, I know they all aren't. The question is whether or not you think the Animal Crosser and Andy stickers would be exclusive, had they playable characters to be exclusive to, and I think they would be. But, since Kirby is using them, this seems to suggest that they don't have playable characters to be exclusive to. Maybe there are Animal Crosser and Advance Wars reps, and Andy and the Villager just aren't exclusive stickers...that seems quite odd to me, but I guess it's possible.

There is no rhyme or reason at this point as to why a sticker is exclusive to its series or not, so stop claiming there is.

Besides, all this nonsense is debunked with the Joshua sticker. Anyone can use it, there is no Ike head in the corner down there.

True, there is really no identifiable rhyme or reason to it yet, I just thought perhaps, at the most basic level of it, it would make sense that a sticker of the character most likely to represent a certain series would be exclusive to said series. And I admit I could be completely wrong. I just thought I'd try to give people something to think about. It certainly doesn't hurt to consider the rammifications of it.

Exactly, stickers who don't have reps can be used by everyone, that's exactly what I'm saying. The problem is information on which stickers become exclusive is way too inconclusive. If you want to discredit my theory, you should've said what the last guy did :p

I guess I'm the only person who considers this idea a possibility. Well, whatever, just thought I'd share *shrugs*

Of course it's all speculation. I said right in my first post that I wasn't claiming to have deconfirmed anybody.

Stickers that can be used on everyone are totally blank on the right hand side.

e.g.
Joshua

The video with the Lucario/Ness/Jigglypuff leak implies that sticker with character restrictions has text and character heads on the right hand side.

e.g.
Ness and Lucas

Pokemon Trainer, Pikachu, Jigglypuff and Lucario

The Animal Crossing sticker of Katrina has similar text on the right hand side, suggesting that it has some sort of restrictions too. Perhaps a character. Perhaps something else.
