I love how people always suggest their "personal" favorites to be included in Brawl; even if the said character have little overall importance to the story x_x

You're joking, right? Not a single one of the characters you just listed have a ghost of a chance to be anything more than an assist trophy. They're all minor and unimportant, mostly in the game to fill their respective character class' roles in Ike's army. Stefan isn't even a required character - its very easy to play through both games he is in never knowing he exists.

Meh, he's a cool character, but if we were to add every cool character on Fire Emblem the roster would be flooded. Soanevalcke was a better name for him though IMO

He does seem to have a little bit more significance in Radiant Dawn though

he is supposedly descended from Soane (hence Soanevalcke), who was one of the 3 heroes of Ashera)

Still, he's unlikely to get more than a passing reference at most.

Hmm... not a SINGLE one? Gee, I guess Mia isn't all that important, cuz she really is in Goddess of Dawn of the other minorities and is said to play a bigger part in the story, so... yea. Also, how are Boyd and Soren not important to the story? Soren has a huge backround story, I won't tell cuz of spoilers, and Boyd is... well, alright, he WAS more of a personal preference. Although he rulez in Goddess of Dawn...

Actually, upon further inspection, I'd like actually to see Volke in Brawl.

I know Stefan is optional in games, but still... he is still awesome through and through, and I'd like to at least see him.

xD Stefan is too secretive. I honestly can't say I would have known how to recruit him without the internet. He has a nice personality and a nice outfit, but he definately isn't player-character material. Here are some pictures for those who don't know what he looks like;
