STARTER OR UNLOCKABLE? YOU DECIDE...
Hello, fellow Smashers, and welcome. I created this thread to see which characters you, the members of Smashboards, will be unlockable, and which will be on the starting roster. Based on www.smashbros.com, we already have this:
Starters:
1. Mario
2. Pikachu
3. Link
4. Kirby
5. Donkey Kong
6. Fox
7. Yoshi
8. Bowser
9. Samus/Zero Suit Samus
10. Zelda
11. Pit
12. Wario
13. Pokemon Trainer
14. Ike
15. NESS
16.

Unlockables:
1. Meta-Knight
2. Snake
3.
4.

Now, you see every confirmed character that has an update is listed as a starter, and every character without one is an unlockable, simply because it certainly seems that this is the rule of the Dojo character updates. Also, 40 characters total? Sakurai said it was a target number, so it makes sense, and it happens to work out so that I could split the number of starters and unlocks right down the middle.
But, what you probably noticed all the blank spaces. Well, my friends, that is why you are here. It's your job to decide which characters make the cut. Here's how it works...
STEP 1. VOTE FOR THE STARTERS!!!
You will have to vote for which characters you would like to appear in the starters section. Once a character has three votes, he's on the list. Simple. But, once the remaining 6 starter spots are taken up, we move on to step 2....
STEP 2. VOTE FOR THE UNLOCKABLES!!!
Then you'll have to vote for the characters that you want to appear in the Unlockables section. Same rules apply.
STEP 3. CHANGE 'EM UP!
Once all 40 slots are taken up, you can vote to swap out characters from the Unlockables section with characters from the Starters section. At this point, you can also vote for characters to be completely removed - but it will take 10 votes to do that, rather than the usual three.
RULES.
-No flaming, spamming, etc.
- You may only vote for one character at a time
- A single person can only vote for a certain character once (unless you first vote for it to be on the starters, but then want to vote it onto the unlockables, vice versa, etc. etc.)
- Have fun
