This may be an odd topic, but would purposely making moves stale in this game be viable? I'm maining Falco now, and I was thinking of trying this: throwing out nairs or fairs multiple times until it's stale, and then using the stale move to try and get better combos with less knockback. I know that knockback deteriorates with stale moves, but does damage lessen too in this game? If so, then that would make these hypothetical combos do less damage, but the increased amount of hits might add up to actually do more damage. I haven't really tried any of this, but could it actually be helpful or am I just crazy?

Damage does go down with move staleness, yeah.

Combos and set-ups benefit from less knockback, so it's not a bad idea and it's something that has been brought up before. That said I don't know of any combos that actually use it.

The moves have to connect to become increasingly stale, so by the time you land a hit ten times to stale it out for a combo, it just might not be practical. But you could still try it.

Another option would be to turn "damage ratio" way down so your foes don't fly as far.
