It like all of the maps that i've seen this far. They all seem to have great graphics, but i agree that most of them look to be a little small. Some seem to just be a normal stage, with the intended subject just in the background (i.e. Smashville). The Zelda stage is a new twist on the "default" SSB stage (main stage with three platforms) as it is just one long, flat stage. Not to mention that it has beautiful graphics. The Yoshi's Story stage seems to be just a copy of the last two Yoshi stages, with the seasonal changes just thrown in. I can't wait to see the F-Zero stage, that is if Captain Falcon is included, which, I think, is almost a given. Seeing as how beautiful and well thoughtout the last two F-Zero stages were, I can't even begin to think of how they will improve on that. I personally think that a Pikmin stage would be nice to see, with or without Captain Olimar being a selectable character in Brawl.

My style?

*50+ stages
*minimum 2 per franchise that has a playable character
*static stages as well as dynamic stages
*scrolling stages
*"on rails" stages like Mute City, Delfino Plaza
*stages with moving/rotating/disappearing/destructible platforms
*stages with devastating hazards, and some without
*retro stages (I vote for Jungle Japes, Saffron City and Classic Mushroom Kingdom from SSB64, and Mushroom Kingdom from SSBM)
*lastly, I'd like a stage that prevents vertical KOs (preferably a Bowser's Castle theme), and one that prevents horizontal KOs

Small stages are better because in big stages people just run away and stall like crazy...
Exactly. That's why Hyrule Temple is banned in tournaments.

Ever notice that FD, Battlefield, Dream Land, Pokemon Stadium and FoD are about the same size as some stages we've seen? Specificly, Battlefield, Yoshi's Island, Lylat Cruise, and Smashville.

Not to mention it presents alot of unfair advantages to certain characters. For example somebody being falco SHL all the way across stage preventing you from getting close enough.

Without Hyrule, all the noobs would die fast because they couldn't get away and didn't have the pit to save them. I think it's good to have a few eccessively massive stages.
Those little things like Falcos shooting are just little gimmicks that make the game fun.
I agree that they need some variety in the stages, so far they're all similar shape and size. Even Delfino Plaza when it's in the air and by the looks of it, Meta Knights level and Pits level a close to them too.
I like the Big Blues and Rainbow Cruises personaly

Not all of us play in tournaments.

I love the large stages. I wouldn't be worried about it, though. It'd be really stupid to not include a massive stage.

Gosh, they may even have Hyrule Temple as a past stage in SSBB. I hope, anyways.

Remeber the Cornia in ssb64
Now that was a big stage, but it was also kind of dull because it had nothing in it. The Cornia in melee is perfect
Hyrule in melee is good as a big stage because it varies into many small battle areas. That's always fun. There aren't too many levels with more than one level in them.

I like stages where people can't run away because it gets annoying..Also, they may be the same size, but they have different platforms and backrounds. I wouldn't mind if every level was like that...Look at YS and BF, they are basically the same if you ask me. When I first got Melee, ALL I played on was Hyrule Temple and Corneria....sad, yes. But smaller stages are more fun and exciting because it's just constant fighting.
