Stage Textures in Photoshop

I've made a few textures in photoshop for a stage but they ended up for the most part not working.

In photoshop, what are the requirements for configuring it to be compatible (indexed?) and what are the configurations I should be using in BrawlBox?

I've heard that files ending in +1 should have no transparency and files ending in +2 can, but in BrawlBox I don't see any of those (for FD).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've gotten a few images to work. Not sure what the difference is betweens the ones that work and the ones that don't...

+1 and +2 were for back when people still used the ASH programs, which have been made effectively worthless thanks to BBox.

As for telling the difference, there are certain texture formats (which you'll notice along the right side of BBox when you select a texture, it should be something like CI4 or CI8, or something with RGB in it) that don't support transparency, but I'm not sure what they are. Rule of thumb is that if the file originally has no transparency, do not add any, it will not work. Also, when replacing textures, do not change the texture format because that will cause it to freeze in game.
