Stage Fright

So last night I went to my first local Melee tournament and for the first time ever I had people watching me play, I was so new to it that I was shaking the entire time. In fact I'm still shaking right now. I actually made it to the finals, and people liked my game. I was cleaning the floor against the other finalist until I spiked him. The entire crowd erupted and I just realized how many people were watching. I cracked under the pressure and went home second place.

How do you guys deal with stage fright? I saw some people listening to music, but I can't play the game without the sound effects, I just can't play that way. I would like to hear how you guys deal with the pressure.

I know, I think it just had a toll on me. I couldn't sleep the night after. I don't think I've ever felt so much adrenaline before.
