Stage Freezing Noob Question

Hey guys, I'm Mobius and I'm a noob to 3D in general, but have been messing with brawlbox with Project M for about a month or two now. I finally started getting into making my own stuff, but I keep having problems. Forget about the other problems for now though, because I can't even get a simple task done.

I wanted to add one object, non-animated, to Final Destination. It looks great in BrawlBox, I finally fixed everything exactly how I wanted it, and when I try it on my Wii I get a freeze.

Here's what it looks like in BrawlBox:

Here's the actual .PAC for anyone that might be able to tell me what's wrong.

Thanks guys.

One thing I noticed is that the file size is considerably larger than the original. Brawl has file size limits, so if you go over, it'll crash. Normal, vanilla Brawl's STGFINAL.pac is 3.1 MB, and yours is about 3.43 MB.

The easiest way to decrease the size would be to reduce the quality and dimensions of the tardis' main texture. Right now, it's a whopping 2048x2048 (the largest dimensions I've seen in vBrawl are half that)! You could also try decreasing the amount of colors it has; lightly posterizing it in an image editor really cuts down on size without noticeable change.

It's possible the crashing might be caused by something else, but I wouldn't know what.

lol that sounds like a pretty obvious fix then eh? I shrunk down the texture to like 600x600, I'll have to wait until tomorrow to test it though. (Now the file size is like 2.7)

It's coming along nicely! Thanks a ton! lol something so simple. In the process of making the smaller textures work I learned about shaders and texture references real quick too haha.

I'm sure I'll have questions later regarding .DAE files with bones... as I've been having trouble getting brawlbox (two different versions working differently) to import my character correctly.
