Stage Discussion: Keep it to the Roster or Expand to 3rd Party?

Should new Project M stages be more based on Nintendo's own or Nostalgic 3rd party games?

So apparently there is quite the debate that was spawned by the recent inclusion of the Castlevania stage based on Dracula's Castle. Personally, I love the stage, it is probably my favorite and always puts a grin on my face when it comes up in random, but some people don't like the inclusion of stages based on 3rd party content. So I figured I would open it up to a poll and a discussion.

Do Project M's fans want more stages based on Nintendo's own character franchises, like Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, etc.

Or do fans want more stages from 3rd party games that were featured on the Nintendo systems, like Castlevania, Rare's Banjo-Kazooie, Capcom's MegaMan franchise, etc.

I think it should stick to the characters who are in the game. The Castlevania stage just feels out of place without any Castlevania character.

Why do people have such a problem with the Castlevania stage? It's just a stage, and it happens to be from Castevania, like that's it.

Stage is fine, theme is just weird. Particularly considering all this Mario music pops up on it.

If they added Simon Belmont / Alucard / other Castlevania rep I'd be fine with having it.

Still not explaining why you have a problem with it
Dude, he just said he doesn't like the theme, since it's from an unrepresented third party franchise. That explains his problem with it.

Personally I want more third party stages. It'd be awesome fighting in the middle of Midgar from Final Fantasy VII, for example, in a similar way to Skyloft.

Edit: to the OP, in the poll you misspelled Banjo-Kazooie as "Bango-Kazooie." Just wanted to point that out.

I love Dracula's castle. Gave me a lot of room to put discordant songs (like the entire Yeezus album).

Third-party. Add Simon. GG. No real reason to have an eighth Mario stage if there's something interesting and worthwhile out there. In fact, why isn't Subspace Emissary in an official build yet?

While I do think the Castlevania stage is out of place, I don't think that's because it's third-party. If a Banjo-Kazooey stage, for instance, was in Project M, I think it'd feel more like it belongs in a Smash game than Dracula's Castle. For me, it's just the setting that makes it weird for me. Even Bridge of Eldin felt out of place for me. Brawl's art-style was all over the place.
