Stage Bones

So, I wanna know. What are the differences between bones with an "E" at the end and an "N" at the end?

I know at least in terms of the item spawn points, one was the starting point and one was an ending point. By that I mean that there's a line going from one point to the other, and the items spawn randomly on any point in the line. Most of the other non-item bones are usually in the same location for both E and N, so I don't know what they do for sure, but I'd assume that moving them around would vary the locations of whatever they control.

Also I'm sorry that I don't remember which was was the left point and which one was the right, but look at the item spawn points on any stage to figure it out.
