People love competitve Smash. Furthermore, people love deducing who is the best. People may also just want to see how they stack up compared to the rest of the playerbase. With the offline competitive scene of SSBU being abandoned until it is safe again due to the pandemic, a lot of players have turned to online competing to continue their grind. But where's the PGR for that? Well, there are 2 groups that handle with ranking wifi players. Most notably being the WWR (Wifi-Warrior-Rank). They have specific standards as well for what kind of tournaments can get ranked and a lot of people look up to them. But for some reason there's an extreme disconnect between being the #1 ranked player, and being the best. King_Chris, the #1 WWR player has stated on his twitter that even though he's ranked as the best, he's not the best. Which I find odd.
Which is why i'm introducing, not a completely new but relatively new and underutilized system for ranking players. A modified version of Elo if you will that uses Bayesian Probability (a field in statistics that will help produce realistic results) that will no longer judge you on how well you place at a tournament but rather specifically, only who you fight against and will rank you based on your probability of winning a match.
I've included about the last month of tournaments, here are the results of nearly 10,000 players and over 50,000 games:

I will continue to work on this. If you would like to join the discord server where I announce tournaments to play in and other notable player information, join here:
