Do you think that SSBB will have an automatic save function over all, just like in Melee?
I personally think that it will. But what about for SE?
Will it either have an automatic save function, where it saves your progress after each stage, or maybe you as the player, will actually have to save it yourself, and then you have the option to continue playing or save and quit.
Or, maybe like in Melee, you will have to wait till the end of SE and beat it, before it can save. If this is the case, then I think SE will be short, which I really don't see as happening.
So, what do you guys think? I think that SE will be semi-long with an option to save if you try to quit, then you can come back later or start a new game.

THIS is why you made a thread? They've had that in Melee and just about every game nowadays have autosave. Brawl will have it, too. Man, people worry too much about Brawl over the littlest things.

While the regular portion of Smash will definitely auto-save like the previous two did, I am definitely interested in how the Subspace Emissary will work. It's clearly too big for the old "finish in one sitting" format. Do we just get one account and choose to "Continue" or "Restart" every time? Do we get multiple save files? It's a mystery!

I'm definitely hoping for more than one save file, I have several siblings who'll want to play it too and I'd prefer to not share a game.

I was just curious on what they would do for the SE, because they could have it save when you complete it, meaning it wouldn't be that long of a mode. I just wanted to see what peoples opinions on it were.

judging from the updates that were shown for the SE you can revisit old levels with characters that you want to use and then its saved in ur wii/memory card

i think it has automatic saving (i hope it does)
