I've seen a few other boards whether it be Acmlm's Board, SMW Central, or the IGN Smash Board talk about demos of Brawl being sent to places like EB Games, Gamestop, Wal-mart, Software ETC, and Best Buy. My friend he played Brawl also said that there was a Super Mario Galaxy demo he played at these retail stores (demo locations may vary I think). Heh.. just wanted to let you guys know....
From IGN Boards: Wide Spread Demo playable Nov. 1st

I'm about to drive down to ebgames tomorrow morning and demand that they let me get my game on. I wonder if they would object to me playing for multiple hours.

It's hard to believe the word of mouth at the moment.

But if anyone has a picture of the demo if or when it comes out, then let me (us) know and I'll be prepared...
Just want to say that.

As for Galaxy, yeah. I tried it!

Hmm if this is true, I can imagine a huge line of smashers in EB games lol

I haven't heard of any Smash demos, just Galaxy. First day the Nintendo World Store has a Brawl demo, I'm there.

WHY would it be true when there's still three months before the game's release...Galaxy is understandable, but not Brawl.

I can confirm that my GameStop definitely has a playable copy of Galaxy. Interestingly enough, it's the full version, not just a demo. The trick is that we're supposed to erase the saved data at the end of the night.

The first time I played Smash was in a supermarket where they had a demo of Melee for months. I remember going to that store just to play Smash with my brother. Afterwards I bought a GameCube and the game. I think demo stands are a great thing to attract new players. Brawl already has a huge fan base, but there are a lot of younger people who aren't familiar with the franchise yet. So, I'm quite hopeful we'll be playing Brawl before the release.

I played galaxy at my local gamestop when I was out picking a copy of GHIII for wii, and i have to say, it looks like fun. I don't like how the controls get weird when you're upside down, but that's probably something you have to get used to.

I'm picking up my copy of COD4 on tuesday, so hopefully i'll see if they have a Brawl demo or not.

What about it? If this was a one word post (two technically) trying to prove a point you're wrong. For one my local Best Buy has a playable Wii, the Wiimote has one of those trackers that would set off the alarm if taken out of the store, and my local GameStop has a Wiimote tied down, not to mention employees 3 feet away from you.

I know my local EB has a playable copy of Galaxy. I spent an hour or so playing it after all. Good game, GORGEOUS looking one too. Unfortunately, I haven't seen hide nor hair of anything Brawl related yet. Except if you count the little placeholder boxes on the shelf that says COMING SOON.

or, even if they didn't have a usuable Wiimote at their stores, they could just stick a GC controller into port 1 of the Wii and call it good.

Wal-mart will mostly likely NOT have it. I work at in the electronics department at one and they won't put up a Wii display due to the motion sensory setup of most games and that it would be too hard to watch and monitor the Wii motes even in use of a drive license or etc. I could understand why, the electronics department in a wal-mart is usually quite a bit larger then most Gamestops or EB.

It sounds like he is (if he was referring to Brawl). We won't see a retail Brawl demo for months. We'll probably see one at the end of January. Trust me...the second a Brawl demo comes into our local GameStop, I'll be the first to hear of it.
