What if theres a part of Brawl that will let you race against eachother using vechicles or something? Here are my thoughts.
P.S. I only put the CONFIRMED Characters on here.

Mario: Ride on Yoshi
Link: Transform into Wolf Link
Kirby: Ride on Warpstar
Pikachu: Ride on Rapidash
Meta Knight: Fly with his wings
Pit: Same as Meta Knight
Snake: dunno never played a Metal Gear game!
Samus/Zamus: Ride in Samus's Starship
Wario: Ride on Motor Bike
Fox: Fly in Arwing

What do you think

Well if you could use B moves to attack other karts: and i mean long range B attacks: then this isn't half bad. that would rock.... it could be in adventure mode, like get to the finish before the others for more points.

On the blue planet next to the sun, can't miss it!
This idea is a complete rip off of mortal kombat Armageddons motor kombat.
"Motor Kombat" was just a pathetic attempt to add another mode to Armageddon. If Nintendo actually strived to make a SSBB racing mode work, then it would work. By da way, Snake would drive like a jeep maybe. It'd be cool as well, because most items can be thrown. Then the few close-range attacks would consists of the items in that group. Besides, Diddy Kong Racing used close range items in which you had to be an EXPERT at the game to use correctly (Granted I was five when I played it, but still...) The other thing, wouldn't every character have to be in a car. I mean, it could be a vehicle based off their respective franchises.

PEACE!

Off topic: Yay, my infraction has been lifted! Curse you Hemme...

What you are suggesting is an entirely new game. It would require 3-D race tracks and therefore an entirely different game engine. Racing on a 2-D plane just doesn't sound that compelling.
So? On Megaman X Collection, the 6 M X games were 2-D but when you unlocked the racing game, it was 3-D.

Sakurai and his team have a limited amount of time to finish Brawl if they are going to release it this year. I'm hoping they will focus on creating a fun, balanced and finely tuned fighting game with lots of new characters and an online mode. I doubt they have time to create your game-within-a-game.

I don't think it's a clausible [or plausible?] idea. It just doesn't seem to fix. And since Mortal Kombat [the ****test fighter in the world, I wish they'd stop making sequels for this crap series] did it, it doesn't seem too original.

They can look at MK's mistakes and learn from them. Also, it matters not if it's original, for a good game is a good game.

On the contrary, there IS a rush. I want Brawl ASAP. Anyone disagree?
I disagree ^.^ The more time they have, the larger the game will better, as well as better made. They can take as long as they need, as long as they're working on make a highly tuned 2d fighter. If they start wasting time on something like, oh say a RACING GAME, then I might get a bit impatient. Smash is a fighter, not a mario kart.

Anything that doesn't implement the 2-D physics engine that the game is based on is beyond a waste of time.

Agreed. That's what I meant.

But still ... I WANT BRAWL NOW!

Honestly I do not know anymore.
Here's an idea. How about a race with the characters only, where they are each in their own tunnel. Soon, they will meet so that there are two tunnels, allowing slower players to catch up by attacking their opponents. Then the two leaders will meet when the two tunnels meet to make one tunnel.

Like everyone said 2-D racing is bad

They could just make a more advanced version of the Temple Maze on adventure mode with up to 4 players.

No go bro.
u think of one

It would be funny to see the starship and the arwing going as slow as Rapidash or Yoshi. Fox can ride Falco or something lol.
That Yoshi would have to be pretty freakin' fast!!
It's like Mario Kart Double Dash!! Wario's Car could go to a max of 200 mph! But it was tuned down because the max u could go was 60 mph. Same with this. P.S. Yoshi is a fast runner.

Smash is a 2d fighter?
What I meant by that was it side scorlling.

Yeah using the attacks would be cool, but not during adventure mode it should be its own mini game.
