Hello Smashboards, First post :bee:

As said in the title, I'm looking for Brawl players in the Keene area, preferably Keene State college area if possible

Checked the forum for other keene players, but all the posts were over 4 years old..so hopefully I don't get yelled at for a new thread >.>

Hope to hear from you guys soon

Hope someone from that area responds to you. If not try making an account on allisbrawl then making a blog asking for players near Keene State College. Allisbrawl is more active socially.

thank you Keitaro for the reply. I hope to hear back from someone too; it sucks being serious about gaming and having no one to play with heh. I will take your advice, thanks

Hi Orraken. Welcome to smashboards.

The NH scene has been fairly dead for a while now. Your best bet might be just trying to start a small group of players in Keene who play regularly and go from there.

sigh* yea..It seems to be that way. I followed keitaros' advice and registered on allisbrawl and haven't heard anything over there either. Times is hard lol...Is there any way of making groups on this website? And is there any other advice you can give me? Getting kinda desperate lol I really wanna play more and participate in tournaments in the future.

Well, I'm not that familiar with the Brawl scene in that area (I'm more in northern NH) and I'm actually more of a Melee guy myself so there's not much I can actually do to help. I'm sure there are people in Keene who will play Brawl with you, though. When I was looking for people to play with I basically started a small club with a few people who I played with and we expanded from there. Given the lack of general competition in the area (Mass is probably your best bet for tournaments near to you) you should start by just finding a few good people to practice with consistently. That will help a lot, I'm sure.

I'm wicked into both games, ssbb more than melee recently, just seems like Brawl has more events?(does melee still have a good following?)
and okay, I'll look into that. In reality playing with anyone will help, but the only people around that I have had the chance to game with are substantially below my level, was really hoping to find people better than me to play with around these sites haha. Will keep looking and hope for the best. Thanks for the advice

melee still has a strong following, i went to a couple of mass tournies this summer. And they actually had a small new england tournament circuit over the summer which was pretty hype. you can check the consol tourney board for alt north and see there's plenty of both melee and brawl tournaments (here).

Here's a good summary of melee's activity over the course of 2011. We're still alive and kicking

In the not so distant future, I am actually going to be relocating to Concord NH. If anyone knows of people in that area please let me know! (I figured I would be yelled at for making another thread saying basically the same thing...hopefully this is all right)

If you're in Concord that's about 45 minutes away from Plymouth. We just started up a pretty solid club through the university and we have some good, active players up here.

EDIT: We play mostly (read: entirely) Melee though, not Brawl.
