SSB64 on Virtual Console

I heard that SSB64 is downloadable on VC now, is that true? Don't have my Wii right now.

If you've downloaded it, how does it play? Does it feel pretty smooth using gcn or virtual console controller?

Wonder if Isai has tried it........hehehe. Anyway, this could start a renaissance of ssb64 in tournaments as it could be played on the Wii w/ gcn controllers. It's really a shame they didn't go the extra mile and work on some netplay.......oh well.

It doesn't matter because the GC and CC are horrible controllers for SSB64.

It is, but only in Japan and Europe.
North America still doesn't have it for some strange reason, although that hasn't stopped people from hacking their Wii to get it on there anyway...

Not really. The only way you could have a legitimate tourney for this game is on the original system, and in fact there have been many recent tourneys for SSB and they've all used N64.

Of course if you play casually and all your friends gave it up because N64 became outdated, this could be a godsend.

Youre yet another of the "I-Want-ssb64-on-VC" guys... All of you should get an emulator and play with the PC online

I do play on emulator but its nice to have it on a tv w/ no framerate issues. It can also be tough to find a decent match online. I definitely think its worth 8 dollars or whatever for an old classic........it'll be fun to unlock the chars again.

I can go online and be playing with good players from this forum in less than 15 minutes.

Use the player's compendium thread and get people on MSN/AIM, then ask for P2P matches. People are very often willing to play. You'll forget VC Smash ever even existed.
