SSB64 as Gadget/Gift in Brawl?

Some of the best N64 Games are allready available as virtual console titles but SSB64 curently isnt. And it isnt annouced until now.

I think and hope SSB64 will be a little gift, probably an Unlock in Brawl.

Like Tekken 2 was included in Tekken 5 for the PS2.

That would be really great, and would fit in the picture of Sakurai & Nintendo :chuckle:

Anyone who agrees or hopes so too?

As much as that would completely own, I don't think that would ever happen. SSB64 will probably be available to download on the VC about a week before Brawl's release. Although I doubt it will happen, if there was ever a company that would do such a thing it'd be Nintendo. Remember the Ocarina of Time / Master Quest preorder bonus from Windwaker?

I prefer to just use it as a rom on my computer. I have a gcn adapter so its kinda like im playing it on my wii because im going to use gcn controller for brawl. Also online emulators make it online so i dont really care if they add it or not : \

Things like that are generally used to help motivate people to buy a game. Wind Waker, for example, used the bonus disk to tip the scales for all of the people who were wondering whether the gameplay of a new Zelda game was worth putting up with the graphics (Like them or not, it wasn't a popular move, especially at the beginning).

With Brawl, everybody who owns or has considered buying a wii who is remotely interested in Smash is going to want it. They might try to pull some additional hype by releasing it near the same time (as has been mentioned above), but they don't really need to persuade people to buy it.

I think this would be a good little treat. Maybe an extra disc, the size of a GC disk, containing Smash 64?

I brother stole my Smash 64 when he moved out, so I've had my girlfriend's copy for God knows how long.
Considering I have a copy to play, I don't really care if it's included, but it would be nice. =]

I agree with the general consensus that Smash 64 will be made a VC download. Other than the nostalgia, why would you want to play Smash 64 when Brawl's going to have at least the same modes (assuming Board the Platforms and Classic Mode return), more characters, stages and items?

No, they shouldn't waste space on something like that when it can be a virtual console experience. I believe they're holding the game off to be used as hype for when brawl comes out. I surely hope so at least because I want to collect the smash triology to be on my wii.

I think the game will be available in VC probably before Brawl comes out. It could be an unlock in the game, but my guess is that Nintendo is going to make a SSBB channel like they with Metroid 3.

And the LoZ/LoZ:II/OoT/MM disc from... whatever it was from! I made sure to get both. I bought Wind Waker primarily to play OoT (I had played it some on the N64, but I never owned it and never beat it). Wind Waker was pretty fun too.

I think SSB64 will most likely be released on the VC, but it'd be awesome if it came with Brawl. By the way, I don't think including SSB64 will take up that much disc space. I hardly think disc space is even an issue. If some content doesn't make it in the game, it will be because of time, budget, QA, and other similar restraints, not from disc space.
