Okay so am I the only one who's really unimpressed with the seeming lack if effort compared it previous years when it comes to music? One of Smash's most iconic features was the amazing OST of fantastic anagements/remixes and original pieces. Now I think the menu theme is great, as are some of the other original pieces and the sparing number of arrangements there are, but that's the thing, there really aren't a lot.

You can criticise Brawl all you want for its competitive shortcomings (justifiably so), but at least they went ham on the music and the general fanservice aspect of it.

Sakurai pls, just hoping the WiiU version ends up being fully stacked or something.

I've been thinking this myself. Granted, I do like what's been given so far but I can't help but feel as if there's some lacking in that area. I have my fingers crossed for the Wii U. If there ends up being a fair number more stages than the 3DS version, I imagine we'll have more music to appreciate.

FORGET CHARACTERS. GIVE DLC MUSIC

I think part of the problem here is some of the hype that the Brawl music got. I know that I myself was super duper hyped for Brawl because of its music and would listen to it on multiple occasions leading up to the game.
Then I got to listening to this game's soundtrack. it's actually pretty solid. Up there with Brawl imo. There are multiple tracks for each stage (like last game) and the medleys are still top-notch:

The Paper Mario medley has so many feels (especially when it comes to the Rogueport part; I nearly teared up)
The Rainbow Roads are also a solid mashup. Well done there.
Even some from the games I've never played and heard music from (Xenoblade, Kid Ic) managed to impress me a lot.

And I also feel like listening to the Gerudo Valley theme during each match would greatly heighten my win percentage.
greatly.

It's pretty good imho. I liked how most of the songs are medleys so to incorporate more tunes as possible avoiding the 3DS limitantions. Needless to say WiiU's version will blow this and Brawl's OST out of the way, again.
