SSB4 Melee 2.0 Using Fast Smash + Damage Ratio 0.6x

1.Equipped smooth lander to erase landing lag!

2.Use special smash mode's FAST SMASH option.

3.Decrease the damage ratio to 0.6x for connecting Combos!!

4.ENJOY!

I think this could also be tournament viable since its not heavy smash game breaking, you just have to get use to the speed and once you do your set!! This game has potential for several different metas, not just 1! Glory mode is its own meta because of lag and campers, and Apex was its own meta because...well no lag haha! Theres nothing wrong with having more than 1 meta, even a custom moves meta, cmon guys start getting created! BE OPEN MINDED!!!

Try it yourself! Its extremely difficult to beat level 9 computers on Fast Smash, they play like perfect shielding Amiibos!!

This will never be competitively viable. Maybe it'd be better in General?
How come? Its not like the moves changed or anything, just the speed. I think it'd be okay to test, you don't even need smooth lander if that upsets you.

Fast Smash doesn't address the issues with defensive options. No one wants rolls to also move faster.

People are also going to be reluctant to try a mode that doesnt work online in any way. (RIP stamina mode)

Truuuue! But they started using custom moves at tournaments and thats not do able on Glory mode either....yet~

For Glory isnt the only online mode. The best players will favor practice with friends not randoms on FD only.

Heavy Gravity instead of Speed and it may be a fun thing to do for a fun tourney but doesn't have much competitive value.

Heavy Gravity absolutely screws a few gravity-influenced moves (Megaman and Sonic's recoveries, especially). It's not even close to a good solution to a problem that isn't really there to begin with.

Whoa this is actually a pretty sweet idea haha. The standard way to smash is the way to go in Smash 4 for the competitive scene but for people obsessed with Melee this seems like a fun distraction

Don't have to try it to know the dozens of reasons it won't work. Things like this need to at least stop being posted in Competitive.

That said, I've tried SLHG since that one thread was posted. It was fun, but imbalanced as ****. This one isn't even fun, because it fails to emulate what it's trying for: Melee.

I'm pretty sure we tried this in brawl and nothing changed. It was still a defensive centered game and it wasn't melee.
Also, why 0.6? Did you test all the damage ratios and this found the most desirable results?

Pretty sure no tournaments ever ran with a modified KB ratio. At any rate, doesn't fast smash drop frames? that's a big no-no (on top of every other reason).
