SSB4 Handicap System

Sorry for creating a new thread for this, but I can't seem to find out anywhere how the handicap system works in the new game.

In Melee, it worked on a 1-9 scale that affected the knock-back of characters.

In Brawl it changed to a % of damage that a player would start each stock with (which was worse, in my opinion).

Can anyone tell me how the handicap system works this time around? Is it like Melee, Brawl or completely new?

Haven't seen anyone use it, but I agree, the knockback modifiers were a much better way to balance. A significantly better player could almost always overcome a flat % disadvantage as long as their own attacks weren't weakened.

Pretty sure I saw whoever BlahBlahLPs was playing with change the modifier. Might have been someone else though. I've watched so much footage it's all melding together but I know I've seen it.
