Smash 3DS SSB 3DS Digital Questions

I have already put in $40 of credit into my account for Smash. I live in Utah and I found out that if you change your zip code to NH they don't charge tax. So I've changed it to NH, but I was wondering since they are 2 hours ahead of Utah time does that mean I will be able to get the game 2 hours early (so 10:00 pm on October 2nd)? Also I was wondering what the fastest way to download a game like that is. Would it best to do the download later or download now option when the time comes. One last question, I don't have the fastest of internet (around 20 mbps) and I was just wondering if you think the eShop will crash for the 3DS release and it'll take awhile to download it or will it be fast (and how fast, like 30 minutes to download)? (My brother and I will be downloading it at the same time hopefully so that might contribute to speed as well.) Sorry for all my questions, Thanks!

Doesn't really matter, this doesn't affect the download speed.

It happened when XY was released, so it is possible it will happen with Smash too. Fortunately, you don't need to redownload everything if the eShop crashes.

Quite the opposite, actually. If you both download the game at the same time, it will take longer for both downloads to finish.

Can't help you with your other questions, though.

If you're worried about losing connection to the eshop, or the shop going down, which I suppose is possible, Download Later is better, if a tad slower. It is better at restarting a download and keeping your progress, while you might just get kicked off the Download Now screen if something goes wrong with the connection and have to restart.

That's what I figured, now I just want to know if I will be able to get it 2 hours early! Haha

The eshop releases games according to the earliest timezone in the region, which in the US is Eastern Standard Time. So yes, you will be able to go on the eshop at 10pm your time and start downloading.

20 mbps is close to what I have and it took me around a little over an hour to download DKC Returns 3D which is about 1300 MBs roughly. You also have to take into account that you are using wireless, so you won't get the full speed that you get from a straight plug in. It also will depend on how many people are using the router/internet, because if you have cable like me your internet is shared by everyone on your block which affects your speed. Also your brother download will make it twice as slow most likely, and hopefully the eShop won't crash.

Are you picking it up or having it shipped? Because I would not preorder to have it shipped. For some reason I have really bad luck with the mail system.
Seconding that; twice now I've preordered games to have shipped with me with a "release date guarantee" and both times the game didn't arrive until a week after the release date. Amazon gave me some credit or something in return but PlayAsia wouldn't even answer my emails.

I may be downloading it also. Even if it's a school night I'm used to being up at 12:00 anyway...(and plus it'll be a way to keep me busy all night til school that friday :D

EDIT" Plus I can nag at my friends that I have the game as they get jealous of me and literally want school to end so we can play each other.

Pretty sure you mean October 2nd here.
Anyway, I'm glad you are going to enjoy SSB4 as early as you can. I have to wait, like, until October 10th to get my game unless I want it digital. But seeing you makes me want it as soon as possible :)

Yeah, sorry I changed that. But hey, at least you don't have to wait until Christmas or your birthday.
