Spectating with a bunch of friends

So I've been wondering about how spectating on the 3DS is going to work on a more casual level. I noticed in the Japanese tournament they used a third player (jiggly) with a capture card installed who indicated the start of the match by shield breaking themselves.

This is not really an option for friends that just want to watch each-other 1v1. So unless someone has a capture card to spectate and stream it to a TV people will need to huddle around the 3DS to watch.

Do you think in future there will be an easy way of making the 3DS spectator friendly for people without 3DS's of their own? I really hope so :S

An official 3DS mirroring device would be the bee's. However, the last time they did that was the GameBoy player on the GameCube. I still have mine. :awesome:

I certainly hope they would do this, but it's already three years into this system's life cycle so I doubt we're going to see anything like that at this point. Hopefully we'll see an official mirroring device on the HDS (their next portable system). :chuckle:

You have two options.

Get a capture card or get the Wii U version.

The odds of them changing this are less than zero as they can't. For one thing they are already running at peak capacity and couldn't handle anything else. This may be something to look forward to on the next handheld console, as smash releases once per console, but that's the only chance it has.
