not sure if this should have gone in the rating room, it's not really an RMT or RTP, but you'll still be rating.

okay, i'm sick of specsmence already.
it was made to surprise people, in the way tyraniboah or chainchomp were.

instead, it's become a standard!
Everyone and their mother is using it.

although, it is appealing. Dragon is resisted by few, and the other moves on the set make it a beast to anyone not named empoleon/blissey.

however, they are others that can pull this off to some extent. OKAY, it's kind of a gimmick thing, but it works anyway.

The first kinda interesting sort of works example i found was...

SPECTILE!

seriously, just rearrange sceptile and you get...yeah.

Sceptile@Choice Specs
Timid Nature
252 SA/252 SP

-Energy Ball
-Dragon Pulse
-HP Fire
-Leaf Storm/Focus Blast

Honestly! 120 base speed with a timid nature lets it outrun the vast majority of pokes, with the notable exception of weavile and the occasional aerial ace aerodactyl...

I wouldn't compare it to specs mence really, though the movesets may be simular. Maybe if it could learn Draco Meteor...anyway. Energy Ball is for main STAB and consistent sweeping, like dragon pulse on mence. HP Fire stomps out Zong! and Skarmory, whilst Dragon Pulse hits whatever is left. Focus Blast can be used to shut up Blissey to some extent, as well as weavile if by some stroke of luck you got the chance *hp fire works anyway. Leaf Storm can be used for that big hit n' run strategy, since Focus Blast is kinda filler.

it's different from the norm. Even more so since sceptiles are usually some silly subseeding variant. Anyway.

Set two!
Specszard!

Roar!

Charizard@Choice Specs
Timid Nature
252 SA/252 SP/6 HP

-Flamethrower
-Dragon Pulse
-HP Water/Grass
-Air Slash/Focus Blast/Overheat

 Take that, you silly overgrown blue lizard! It works in different ways as well, and it's quite interesting that they have the same base speed. A slight drop in SA, yes, but still. Flamethrower is for STAB and massacring and skarm/zong/steel stupid enough to stay in, dragon pulse is for coveraging everything cept steel, which was what the flames were for anyway. HP water is nice, although grass hits near the same things and makes charizard's pesky water weakness go away. Air slash is for filler STAB/heracross if it's not scarfed, Focus Blast for filler, or Overheat for super hit n' run.

and last, but definitely NOT least...
THE SPECSKING!

You saw it coming, didn't you?

Kingdra @Choice Specs
Modest Nature
252 SA/96 SP/162 HP

-Dragon Pulse
-Draco Meteor
-Surf
-Signal Beam/Ice Beam/HP filler!

Yeah, that's the stuff. STAB to the dragon moves AND the water ones as well! Weak to only dragon, when compared to double ice weak and stealth rock weak. Problem? It's dependent on the rain. With 96 speed EVs, it'll outrun Adamant CS Garchomp by a notch. You could jam it up higher for the occasional CS Aerodactyl, whatever floats your boat. Obviously HP Fire isn't an option, nor would it matter anyway, since in the rain the SE on bronzong and skarm is gone and surf outdamages it either way. HP whatever is an option for filler as well.

OK, so it's a work in progress. I know, i'm gonna get lots of "SPECSMENCE is as popular as it is for a reason, what with it's wonderful typing and versatility, blah blah blah..."

still, i've used the Sceptile and the Kingdra and they **** face.
criticize me if you want, i don't care. It's something else to do though, and at the very least it gave you a good enough laugh.:chuckle:

EDIT: By the way guys, for those of you reading, you might want to look BELOW this for some really neat sets. Granted, SPECSCHAMP is NOT specsmence, but it's fun anyway. Thanks for all the input SWF!

Stuck between a parallel dimension of code and you
I agree with that Spectile and Gyaraspec. both are really good! *last night my bro used a gyarados with just leftovers and it was kicking butt, so i'm afraid to see a Gyaraspec in action......*

but i'm actually looking for an ev trained sceptile and gyarados that would work with this, so if anybody has one or both of them up for trade pm me.

I think Sceptile and Charizard NEED to have Leaf Storm and Overheat in order to be considered a threat under the power of Choice Specs.

The reason specsmence is so popular is that it doesn't have a counter. You can put dragon pulse on other things, but the point is that draco meteor is such an absurdly powerful attack, + stab, that it pretty much ruins anything that switches into it.

Umm, Empoleon? Draco Meteor only does around 32% damage to my Empo on a fully-powered strike.

not the place for this wikipedia, although if you must know, it's fueled by the pokemon's IVs.

You guys mind if i add a few of your sets to the post? I mentioned them at the bottom of it if you didn't notice...

Roserade@Choice Specs
Modest/Natural Cure
4 HP/252 Sp Atk/252 Spd
-Leaf Storm
-Sludge Bomb
-Hp Fire
-Shadow Ball
---Must I explain? Storm+Bomb=strong STAB attacks. Hp Fire for Steels. Shadow Ball as filler. Switching out for a change of moves is also helpful in shedding off those pesky status conditions.

That reminds me of my CB Blissey
By the way, Skarm's defense is so enourmous, you do more maxing HP over defense
EDIT: no problem XD

How about Choice Specs Slaking? Noone would expect a Special hit from Slaking, and it has many Special attacks to choose from, including Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, and Focus Blast.

You could still put Return on it. Once the opponent sees Slaking using special attacks, they could send in Blissey. Blissey then dies to Return, letting one of your REAL special sweepers come in and sweep the opposing team.
