This is the fourth or fifth tourney held at Uplink, a LAN center in Millville, NJ. The last tournament held was about 28 people. It was very well organized and this one is hopefully going to be even bigger.
Date: Saturday, April 7 (day before Easter) at 1:00 PM
Entry fee: 10$
Type: best of 3 rounds, double elimination, 1v1

Rules:
-No modded controllers!
-Every person plays best-of-three rounds.
-Bracket-style double-elimination. Seeding will be random
-First player picks a stage, then second player picks a stage. If both players cannot agree on a third stage, then Final Destination will be picked.
-All characters are allowed, and you do not need to play the same character all three fights
-Eight minute time limit. If the time runs out, the person with the most stock wins. If both players have the same stock, the one with lower % damage wins. If both players have the same % damage, then sudden death will be played.
*Can someone please give me a link to the MLG rules? I can't seem to find them. It might be decided just to use the MLG rules instead*
Prizes:
1st: 50% of cash pool (if at least 28 people come this time, that's $140) + 2 free hours at Uplink + bonus gear (energy drinks, posters, etc.)
2nd: 20% of cash pool + 2 free hours at Uplink + bonus gear
3rd/4th: 5% of cash pool + 1 free hour at Uplink
